07/28/2024 - Dallas, Texas, USA - advancis releases version 3.0 of its push technology solutions – ReadyLive®, allowing companies to take advantage of the latest web browser developments for desktop and mobile devices while giving their customers more control over permission rights.
The new version combines standard-based technologies such as the Web Push protocol in addition to advancis proprietary software solutions for managing push campaigns and performing advanced analytics.
"The move towards a standard-based solution made more sense as the Web Push protocol matured.", noted Claudie Clot, CEO of advancis. "This offers several advantages for companies. For example, Apple had been very restrictive as to the nature of the Push content companies could send using the Apple Push Network. Promotional messages were banned and could result in automatic revocation of the Apple Push Network Certificate for the offending company", continued Clot. The Web Push protocol removes these barriers, allowing marketers to take full advantage fo the medium for their campaigns.
ReadyLive Push Notifications
work on all major web browsers including Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera and Safari. New in version 3.0 is the compatibility with the following mobile browsers Chrome [ Android ], Firefox [ Android ], and Opera [ Android ]. While compatible with Safari for iOS, web push notifications on iOS do not take advantage yet of all Push API methods. These limitations are expected to be removed with future releases of iOS.
Version 3.0 is a complete rewrite of the ReadyLive Push Notifications solution to take full advantages of the latest developments in web browers and the Web Push API. Recipients who decide to opt-in ro receive Push messages from a company will have greater control over their permission rights.
ReadyLive servers are based in the USA. Unbeknownst to a lot of current Push Technology users, some of the market leaders are hosting their solutions on Russian servers which could spell disaster should conflicts in certain regions of the World worsen. Strategically, choosing USA-based solutions will make more sense to large companies susceptible to online attacks.
